How The Globe Was Made
How do they do that?

Life is tough at the top. Idolised for years by your adoring fans, signing glossy photos and posing for a toy to be made of you. Your fifteen minutes of fame just doesn't seem to end.
Until it kinda just does for some people. We're not talking about Callum Best here or Bea Arthur from Golden Girls, we're talking about those that gave their souls over to the dark side. The cast of Star Wars.
Who would have known R2D2 would be pulled over for drink driving? Or Chewbacca would be presenting an award on MTV?

We've been busy cleaning up the Firebox HQ Video archive room and we found an old gem. The video seems to have been made to demonstrate the Microscope that's still available on the website.

MARRRRRRRTY!!!!!!!!!!
When I say Michael J. Fox what do you think of? Yep, got it in one! Eighties classic, 'Back To The Future'. Well now you can own part of film history and beat the queues to work (well in theory!) with the Mattell Hoverboard.
All good things come to an end, so thank god for Ebay. For a small fee of $30,000.00 you can amaze your pals with your Marty McFly moves and relive those golden memories from the film. And the geeks amongst you will already know that the board in question was used in the second film of the trilogy, but the wood-based prop looks like it's survived the rigors of shooting and looks to be in great condition.

The hoverboard comes with fully functional rear ballbearing-mounted footpad that rotates 360 degrees, as well as real magnets on the bottom. And the hole from which Marty removed the handle when he stole the board from a girl also gets retained.
Let us know if you win it!
Over 24 hours of tattoos, costing over £4,075 (Canadian) and it seems Rick will nearly be finished, as a (queue Cranberries track) zombie!
As Dolly would say, 'It costs a lot of money to look this cheap!" but Rick is proper nuts!! Bizarre met up with Rick and took some photos of him looking nuts. When Rick was young he liked the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and wanted to be one, much like any other lad his age. But as he got older his obsession for zombies grew bigger and he now goes to the shops looking like a cheap gollum.
“You’ve got your hands tattooed like a skeleton! You’re never going to get a decent job!” his mum cried. We at Firebox HQ feel for her. But it is pretty funny. You can read the full interview with Rick here.
And if you're thinking about getting some nice tattoo's then start off simple. Maybe a firebox logo on your forehead, a nice PicoZ on your right arm, a couple of Love Ducks and well, you may as well plonk on a firebox flame or two!*
*Err, don't really!
