Spread a Little Love

 TKO

In need of spreading the warm fuzzies after all this February weather, Firebox joined up with The Kindness Offensive for Pancake Day last week at Ed's Diner in Leicester Square. This excellent group of people were giving away free pancakes to show a bit of loving on Shrove Tuesday and we added to the fun with piles of Firebox goodies. They seemed to go down a treat with the kids...

All the jolliness brought on by pancakes and presents was in a good cause: the whole event was in support of the NSPCC, ChildLine and the Child’s Voice Appeal, so click on through to find out more, show your support and maybe get inspired to practice some random kindness of your own.

Bob-Omb-Nom-Nom

Continuing with our love of all things Mario (and handily combined with our love of food) we present: Super Mario Cupcakes.

Ana Fuji is a talented young lady who makes these wonderfully tasty-looking treats. But we're torn between wanting them to display on our desks with geeky/culinary pride and wanting to scoff the lot. Mario cakes

Mmm, Breakfasty.

Maybe it's all the Baconnaise we've been ogling lately, but this caught our eye: 10 eggs, 10 bacon, 10 sausage, 10 toast, 5 black puddings, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms. Sounds like your average breakfast, yes? For a whole year. (Or perhaps just a whole month. We're good at breakfasts here).

But no. This is the £10 breakfast served up in Westhoughton (that's Bolton, geography fans), at Mario's Cafe.

10 breakfast

So mind-boggling, it needs a tray. Mario says that if you can eat the whole thing in under 10 minutes (no beverages - drinking's cheating) then he'll give the lot to you for free.

The fact that this was found posted beside an advert yelling '1 tip of a flat belly!' just goes to show that this breakfast does not care. It's bigger than that. It contains around 5,000 calories. It laughs in the face of your flat belly tips. And your grammar too.

CHOCOLATE FOR EVERYONE!

Aero_header

Check out the new Aero ad:

Shot at the 40,000 square foot Lake Cunningham Skate Park in San Jose, California, the advert features 50,000 balloons that were blown up by 12 people over four full days. Each balloon was then placed in the skate park, to create a bubble-filled environment.

Now we want to feel the bubbles, too. Naturally, our skateboarding skills are already second to none (how else would we get around the Firebox warehouse?), so the next stage is the deliciously floating chocolate.

While we can’t actually make chocolate fly, what we are going to do is bring you a little bit of chocolate-y magic: we’re putting a free Mint Aero bar in each parcel we send out. Ain’t we lovely? Order anything and you’ll get a brilliant, minty chocolate fix. Tasty…

Wear Your Food

Food
Most of you have probably made the new years resolution to shed a few pounds this year. So if you can't eat it; wear it! The Hamburger Dress will definitely get the men drooling for more than one reason and this Fried Egg T-Shirt will look great with the Bacon Scarf. All products are 100% vegetarian, obviously!
