Morph Spotted in Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to ashes

Eagle-eyed watchers of Ashes to Ashes on Monday will have spotted Morph in the preview of next week’s episode. Rumour has it that the much loved Plasticine character will have an important part to play, perfect as he is for the show’s retro 80s style. We reckon Morph’s decided to move into more serious acting roles. As DCI Gene Hunt would say, he's got fingers in more pies than a leper on a cookery course.

Missed out? You can catch up on Ashes to Ashes on the BBC website. Keen Morph fans can find him right at the end, at 58:54. And don’t forget to watch next Monday night to catch him alongside Bolly Knickers and the Gene Genie.

The Twitterverse Thinks Google will pay $507m to acquire Twitter

Logogoogle

With rumours circulating about Google being in late-stage talks to acquire Twitter, we asked Twitter what they thought the final cost to Google would be, while offering a shiny prize for the correct guess:

"Google buying Twitter? Guess closest $ price, winner gets $1 to spend at @firebox for every $1m. Tag guesses #firebox"*

Responses so far have ranged from "three goats and a cow" to $billions. The current mean average from @firebox followers (not including animals, sorry Daisy) is $507m.

Ewe Beauty

Well, strictly speaking this is not a sheep.

Not Quite The Most beautiful goat

This was a contestant in Saudi Arabia's "Most Beautiful Goat" competition, and let's not forget that there are many races out there, the winning of which can be as important to the champion as becoming President. You will be amazed to find out this Maaz Al Shami - above - was not the winner. Behold Qahr:

Most beautiful goat2

Oooh, would you look at that? Such a proud moment.

However, maybe Qahr shouldn't stop there. Possible honorary entrant for our Movember contest? We're doing it, you should too. Get your team together. It's for charidee.

Firebox Gets FiredUp For US Election

Electiontitle

It's an Election Special!!

According to the BBC website we should know who is President by about 4am GMT. But how come Americans have all the fun of voting, us Fireboxers feel a bit left out. So we got into the spirit of things and rigged up our own polling booth and ballot box.

So who will it be? Obama? McCain? Our cleaner?

Like all good polling stations, ours soon got busy and the queues averaged out at about 3 hours till we got our votes written down and posted in the box.

Election1
Election2
Election3

Of course ALL votes have to be counted seriously and who better to do this then Firebox's own Count Von Count. He has agreed to count, double count and triple count the votes at 5:30. He will end things off with a trademark laugh and we'll announce the results in our Wednesday morning team meeting.

Sadly though we will not be publicizing the answer as we wouldn't like to get into any political battle that would hurt our customers and suppliers. Needless to say I think our cleaner is dead set to be President.
