Send Your Toy On a Voyage Around the World
When did your toys last go on holiday... without you?! Because this weekend members of the ToyVoyagers website are planning a co-ordinated worldwide release of toys into the wild. Since 2005 members have been sending their toys to complete strangers with a message for them to take pictures and send it on its way, clocking up thousands of airmiles! This was all inspired by the film Amelie (with its tale of a gnome taken on a round-the-world-tour).
One bear named Ivor travelled over 55,000 miles, visiting exotic places as far-flung as the USA, Ecuador, Australia, Azerbaijan and Norwich. We are already thinking of sending one of our Fonies on his way... you can too just by registering your toy free on the ToyVoyagers website!
